2021 Emerging Leader Mentorship Program

2021 Emerging Leader Mentorship Program

Our 2021 Emerging Leader Mentorship Program seeks to create 1-on-1 mentor/mentee matches for early careerists from underrepresented communities with mentors in senior-level positions in healthcare in a nine-month mentorship program. If you are interested in our mentor program, please contact our Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Veronique Perry, MHA, MBA.

Our Chapter believes that diversity and inclusion can serve as a catalyst for improved decision making, increased productivity, and a competitive advantage. The Emerging Leader Mentorship Program aims to engage more senior WFC ACHE members from minority populations in a formal mentorship program for the benefit of the early careerists’ professional development. The program includes the following components:

  • Free Health Administration Press leadership books for “book club” discussion

Benefits to mentees:

  • Encouragement to leverage ACHE resources
  • Establish early career professional goals
  • Formal and informal career guidance from mentors
  • Recognition of mentorship at Annual State of the Chapter event

Benefits to mentors:

  • Social engagement with early careerists
  • Standard mentorship program curriculum with clear expectations and agendas
  • Financial support for WFC ACHE Programming
  • Honoraria for speaking/moderating Emerging Leader Events
  • Funds for Health Administration Press book club reading list to discuss with mentees
New WFC Website Launch

New WFC Website Launch

After many months of hard work and dedication from the Western Florida Chapter Communications Committee, we are pleased to announce the launch of our updated website!

Our primary goal during the redesign process was to reflect the high level of professionalism we seek to present to our Chapter members and prospective members. The website offers a more valuable, user-centric resource across all platforms and devices. Specifically, we wanted to focus on making it easier for our users to learn and locate information about our events and educational programming. We also wanted the site to answer Frequently Asked Questions, explain Chapter Board Committees, and support member advancement to Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives® (FACHE).

We invested in our partner, TranceFusion Design, a professional web development firm with extensive experience with ACHE Chapter websites. For any suggestions, questions, comments please contact us. We hope you enjoy our new look!
