Chapter Committees

Active participation on Chapter committees assures our organization’s success. We welcome your interest in sharing your skills and expertise. The Western Florida Chapter has six Standing Committees.

PROGRAMS COMMITTEE

Purpose: To support the Chapter and the Programs Director in planning, developing and implementing annual programs for the educational and professional development of Chapter members. The Programs Committee consists of the Program Director and at least three (3) members of the Chapter. Also serving on the Programs Committee are Local Program Chairs, who are responsible for separate geographic areas of the Chapter territory (northern, southern, and eastern). The northern region includes Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Levy, Sumter, Marion counties. The southern region includes Charlotte, Lee, and Collier counties. The eastern region includes Polk, Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee, Desoto, and Highlands counties.

 

SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE

Purpose: To establish ongoing sponsorship opportunities to support Chapter educational programs and membership activities through solicitation of grants, scholarship, and event sponsorships.

 

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE

Purpose: To oversee the distribution of membership literature and application forms, develop and maintain the membership directory and current mailing list, and shall encourage renewal of membership in ACHE. The Membership Committee also oversees mentoring programs, student shadow days, FACHE advancement initiatives, and early careerist engagement.

 

COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

Purpose: To plan and carry out timely communications which effectively inform Chapter members and the local healthcare community about upcoming Chapter events and activities through website content, quarterly newsletters, and social media initiatives of the Chapter.

 

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE

Purpose: Reflecting the values of the Chapter, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee actively promotes diversity within the Chapter and Board leadership, fosters an inclusive environment that recognizes the contributions and supports the advancement of all, regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability, and assures that these values are reflected in the Chapter’s various activities and initiatives.

 

NOMINATING COMMITTEE

Purpose: To solicit nominations for Chapter leadership positions. The Nominating Committee shall consist of 2 current Chapter Officers, and one member appointed by the Chapter Board. A Regent of ACHE who is a Chapter member shall be an ex officio, voting member.

 

AUDIT COMMITTEE

Purpose: To arrange and supervise an annual financial audit of the Chapter in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and practices. The Audit Committee consists of two chapter members appointed by the Board.
