DESCRIPTION:September – The U.S. Roadmap for Interoperable Health Records and the Healthcare Executive’s Role in IT Decisions at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (September 4\, 2020) \nNational policy calls for requirements for designing and provisioning interoperable medical information resources between disparate health providers’ electronic health record systems. The Panel on US Roadmap for Interoperable Electronic Health Records will discuss how leaders can develop new skills and resources be needed to effectively use new generations of software and technology features. \nIn addition\, today’s healthcare executive works in a world of ever-increasing information technology options. How do they navigate\, evolve and respond to the changing informatics world? These leaders often do not work directly with information technology\, nor necessarily understand the application\, but they are asked to make crucial decisions about their implementation. This program will assist the non-technical executive to proactively make technology decisions.
