He was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow and Practitioner in the National Academies of Practices. Dr. Garrett is a graduate of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) 13-month Global Patient Safety Fellowship with the and is a graduate of the IHI Patient Safety Executive Development Program. In August of 2021\, Dr. Garrett was awarded the Fellowship Designation by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America in recognition of his work in infectious diseases and infection prevention and control. In November 2021\, he was awarded the Fellow Designation by the Infectious Diseases Society of America. He has achieved Fellows Status and Board Certification in Healthcare Management from the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds graduate certificates in healthcare leadership from both Cornell and the University of Notre Dame. He is a frequent international lecturer in the areas of infectious diseases\, healthcare-associated infections\, outbreak response and prevention\, and infection prevention and control. Dr. Garrett has lectured around the world and provided testimony to government and regulatory agencies on a variety of topics related to infectious diseases\, patient safety\, and healthcare leadership. \nRonald J. Colaguori\, FACHE – Panelist\nRonald Colaguori\, FACHE\, is the Vice President\, Supply Chain & Operations Support with BayCare\, a $5.1B health system in West Central Florida.  His responsibilities include all aspects of supply chain management including over $350M in annual self-distribution sales through BayCare Integrated Service Center\, LLC\, and $850M in contracted spend through BayCare Purchasing Partners\, LLC\, a wholly-owned GPO.  Before joining the supply chain team in February 2016\, Ron was BayCare’s Vice President\, Hospital Operations Support for two years.  He also served as the Vice President/COO at St. Anthony’s Hospital for 8 years starting in 2006.  Ron also held operations roles at St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Anthony’s Hospital between 1994 and 1998. \nPrior to rejoining BayCare in 2006\, Ron served in multiple leadership roles in the Cleveland Clinic West Region\, including Vice President\, Operations and Senior Vice President/COO for eight years. \nRon started his career at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center where he served as an Administrative Fellow and as an analyst in the strategic planning department. \nRon earned a dual MHA/MBA degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Pittsburgh\, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and University Scholar. \nJohn A. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare\, Michelle spent almost a decade at Medco Health Solutions – now Express Scripts – including her last role as an Executive Director\, and before that worked for ancillary benefit companies and financial organizations holding positions in general management\, account management\, compliance and operations. \nMichelle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from St. Cloud State University. She has served as the Zambia Liaison for the Board of Tiny Tim and Friends and Steven’s Square Foundation. In her free time\, Michelle likes to exercise\, watch her son play baseball\, read\, cook\, travel and spend time with family and friends. \nEmily Molnar\, MHA\, CPH – Manager\, Sarasota Memorial Health Care System \nEmily Molnar grew up in Sarasota County before attending The University of Alabama for her undergraduate degree. At Alabama\, Emily majored in Management with a specialization in Health Care Analytics and minored in Spanish. In 2018\, Emily graduated and moved to Tampa where she attended the University of South Florida Master of Health Administration program. Her work experience during graduate school included a Graduate Research Assistant position with the USF Health Informatics Institute and an internship in the Medical Economics department of WellCare Health Plans. She was also an active student member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and worked as the Finance Committee Intern\, and she served as President of the USF Healthcare Management Student Association. \nAfter graduating\, Emily started an Administrative Fellowship at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System where she completed many high-level projects related to the system’s COVID-19 response and planning for the new Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice opening. Emily also took a strong liking to her work with the Post-Acute and Rehabilitation division and eventually transitioned into the role of Business Planning and Project Manager with this team. She is now part of the leadership team supporting the entire post-acute continuum and assists with budgeting\, financial analysis\, strategic planning\, and process improvement. Some of her favorite projects include developing a comprehensive environmental scan to analyze all levels of post-acute care on a local and national level\, coordinating efforts of the inpatient rehabilitation team to prepare for the next CARF accreditation survey in October 2023 (hoping for a third deficiency-free result)\, and implementing occupational therapy services in the new Cornell Family Behavioral Health Pavilion for acute behavioral health patients. \nEmily’s future goals include service line and operational leadership. His experience has included capital investment/development\, operations engineering\, business development\, human capital\, diversity\, equity\, and inclusion advisory. Prior to joining Blue Cottage\, Norm most recently worked as a Partner at Korn Ferry. Norm earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Oakwood University; a Masters in Health Services Administration from the University of Michigan; and a Masters in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. \n\n\n\nLisa Bell\, MPH – Panelist\nLisa Bell is the Director of Community Benefit for BayCare Health System\, a leading not-for-profit organization comprised of 16 hospitals and hundreds of other locations throughout Tampa Bay and central Florida regions. \nBell leads the Community Benefit and Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) work across the four-county region. Her innovative approach to data collection and vision for mitigating the impact of social determinants on health outcomes has spearheaded strategies that are setting the standard of how health systems can effectively work with community partners. Bell has provided strategic leadership in addressing food insecurity\, leading the region in a system-wide approach screening every patient for food insecurity and connecting patients with a Healing Bag (2-3 days of non-perishable food and community resources on discharge). This is the only effort of its kind in the state of Florida. \nLisa is responsible for fiscal oversight and impact of CHNA Implementation Plans\, in excess of $15 million annually\, along with BayCare’s Community Benefit investments that collectively make up 10% of BayCare’s annual operating revenues. \nPrior to BayCare\, Lisa led similar work for SSM Health in Madison\, WI. Madison presented unique opportunities for Lisa to hone her public health practice\, work with the population health experts at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute\, engage in state and local advocacy efforts to address health disparities\, and develop multidisciplinary collaborations to better drive health improvement through collective impact and community engagement. \nLisa is Chair of the Florida Hospital Association Community Benefit statewide workgroup. She also provided primary leadership in the development of a four-county collaborative of hospitals and Florida Department of Health partners called All4HealthFL\, serving as Chair from 2018-2021. \nLisa held an Adjunct Faculty appointment at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health from 2008-2015. Since 2010\, Lisa has held an Adjunct Faculty position in the College of Health Sciences at St. Petersburg College. \nLisa received a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene and a master degree in Public Health from A.T. Still University in Mesa\, AZ graduating Summa Cum Laude. She was the first inductee into the University’s Public Health Honor Society. \nTamika Powe\, MPH\, MCHES\, CDP – Panelist \nTamika Powe has been in the healthcare field for over 20 years. She started her career with Tampa General Hospital in 2000 as a Surgical Associate and transitioned to the newly created Community Relations Department in 2006. Tamika’s background in health and wellness allowed her to help build Tampa General Hospitals Community Health Education Program to include disease specific interventions offered to the community at the Community Health Education Center. After successfully implementing several evidenced based programs designed to help people manage various health conditions\, she was promoted to a Community Health Educator. In this position\, she was able to expand the health education opportunities further to include the designation as a training site for many of these programs. Since 2013\, Tamika has also been directly involved with TGH’s Community Health Needs Assessment process. She led the charge to join the Healthy Hillsborough Committee and ALL4HealthFL. These collaboratives address Community Benefit and Social Determinants of Health initiatives in partnership with other non-profit healthcare organizations in the Tampa Bay Area.  Tamika holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health\, is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES®)\, a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP®) and Community Benefit Specialist. \nTamika currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Tampa Bay Healthcare Collaborative\, is a member of the Mayor’s African American Advisory Council\, the Advisory Board for the Urban League of Hillsborough County. Tamika is a member of the Society of Public Health Education’s National and Florida Chapters. She also completed The University of Tampa’s Modern Advances in Leadership Certificate Program\, presented by the Sykes College of Business TECO Energy Center for Leadership and is an alumna and active member of Tampa General Hospital’s LEAD TGH Program and Leadership Hillsborough. \nCaroline Gay\, FACHE\, FHFMA – Moderator\nCaroline Gay is a certified life coach and business consultant\, and formerly the Chief Analytics Officer/Chief Population Health Officer at Lakeland Regional Health.  She spent 10 years as a healthcare executive and uses that experience to analyze\, relate\, and co-create solutions with clients. \nCaroline graduated from East Carolina University with a Master’s in Accounting\, where she established a strong foundation of strategic and systems thinking. \nCaroline recognized the need for a more elevated leadership style to effectively get results in today’s world.  She delivers courses and workshops on Integral Leadership to educate leaders on how to solve problems with a holistic approach that helps them better understand themselves and how to relate to others.

Turner’s portfolio of sustainable hospital construction includes many industry leading projects including the first LEED Zero Energy certified healthcare facility\, the first standalone net zero designed greenfield hospital and one of the first net zero carbon facilities. \nRandy serves the healthcare design and construction industry through leadership roles for ASHE\, FGI Guidelines\, HCD advisory board\, Vanderbilt Healthcare Symposium Committee and others.\nRandy and his wife\, Gwen make their home in Nashville TN. \n\n\n\nBrad Pollitt\, AIA-Panelist\nSince joining UF Health Shands in 1989 Mr. Pollitt has served as Hospital Architect\, Director of Major Construction Projects\, Director of Facilities Planning\, and Director of Facilities Development.  In 2000 he was named Vice President of Facilities with responsibilities for core services including strategic facility planning\, construction\, facilities operations\, real estate\, environment of care\, safety\, security and transportation serving the UF Health Hospital System.  During his tenure\, UF Health has seen the development of over $3 billion of construction\, renovation and capital improvement to enhance the operations and quality of over 5.5 million sf of UF Health facilities. \nMr. Pollitt has lectured on facility management topics at the American Society of Healthcare Engineers\, and other numerous healthcare forums.  In addition he has provided educational instruction at the University of Florida College of Engineering as a guest lecturer on facility process and quality improvement in facilities management. \nMr. Pollitt has a BA and an MA degree in Architecture from the University of Florida College of Architecture.  He is a licensed architect in the State of Florida\, is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects Academy for Health.  Prior to joining Shands in 1989\, Mr. Pollitt worked as an architect in the fields of healthcare\, hospitality and historic preservation.

In 2013\, Jeff became the CEO of Preferred Radiology Alliance\, helping it grow to over 240 radiologists. Also\, he served as the COO of Academic Alliance in Dermatology\, and helped it to grow to its current size of over 24 office locations (the 3rd largest in Florida). \nJeff is a Life Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives\, and a past Founding Board Member-Western Florida Chapter Board\, Fellow in the Radiology Business Management Association\, and Past President and Fellow of the Radiology Business Management Association. He has a Bachelor of Business Degree from Millikin University and a Master’s Degree in Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University. \nHe has been married to his wife for the past 41 Years\, and still lives in the Tampa Bay Area. He is the proud father of three grown children\, and grandfather to his six grandchildren. \nStephanie Stringer\, PHR – Panelist \nStephanie Stringer is an accomplished Human Resources Business Partner and Director with over thirteen years of experience in the healthcare industry. Stephanie has a passion to serve others and is focused and driven with concentration on leadership coaching\, mentoring\, team member retention and engagement\, and diversity\, equity\, and inclusion. She enjoys being a part of a solution focused company to harness the full power of the most valuable asset to an organization\, its people. \nStephanie currently serves in her role at AdventHealth Carrollwood\, where she is responsible for the strategic advancement of the human resource function. She is an alumna of The University of Alabama and spent a summer living abroad immersing herself in different cultures\, which helped shape who she is today. \nWhen Stephanie is not working\, she enjoys spending time with her spouse\, working out\, reading a good book\, binging a Netflix series\, and watching her two favorite teams play football – Roll Tide and go Bucs! \nLou Galdieri\, MHA\, BSN\, RN – Panelist \nLou Galdieri was appointed Co-Chief Operating officer for BayCare Health System on October 28\, 2022.  Prior to his promotion\, Galdieri was president of Morton Plant Hospital and market leader for BayCare Health System’s West Region since November 2018. He had served as president of Mease Countryside and Mease Dunedin hospitals since 2009. Mr. Galdieri joined Morton Plant Mease in 2000 as a part-time nurse recruiter\, advancing to director of planning and director of operations. \nMr. Galdieri began his career as a nurse more than 35 years ago. Lou earned a Master of Science degree in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1999. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from LaSalle University in Philadelphia and a nursing diploma from the Community Medical Center School of Nursing in Scranton\, Pennsylvania. At Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia\, he held a variety of leadership and nursing positions including clinical director and patient and staff relations roles. \nMr. Galdieri has previously served on multiple boards such as the Pinellas County EMS Advisory Board\, the Clearwater Free Clinic\, and both the Safety Harbor and Dunedin Chambers of Commerce. He currently serves as Incoming Chair of the Amplify Clearwater Chamber Board\, sits on the Board of Directors for MPM Health Care\, as well as the Board of Directors for the Morton Plant Mease HealthCare Foundation. Most recently\, Mr. Galdieri received the honor of being named to the 2022 City and State Florida Healthcare Power List. \nMary Maloney\, M.A. – Panelist \nMary Maloney has dedicated her life’s work to launching brands. She is a brand strategist and organizational change management thought leader specializing in the healthcare industry. Serving as a CEO and Chief Marketing Officer\, she’s led repositioning\, messaging and branding initiatives on both the client and agency side for global and iconic brands including Mercy Health System\, Penn Medicine\, Blue Cross Blue Shield\, Intuit\, Centene and The Center for Creative Leadership – Healthcare Division. She sold her first business at age 31. Dr. Rafalski is responsible for all planning\, business development\, real estate\, market research\, clinical research\, marketing\, digital strategy\, government relations\, public relations and communications at BayCare Health System. Dr. Rafalski has an extensive background in strategic planning\, data analytics\, decision support\, GIS\, business development\, marketing\, public relations\, group purchasing and managed care contracting. He has also served as an executive liaison for emergency department and children’s hospital operations. After graduating from the University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in public policy studies\, Dr. Rafalski received a master’s degree in public health from Yale University School of Medicine. Ed is also a member of the University of South Florida College of Public Health’s Master Health Administration Advisory Board. \nPaul Grossman \nPaul is the founder\, CEO and Chief Experience Officer of PLG ExperienceSolutions\, a consulting and training company that helps healthcare organizations create consistently exceptional experiences for its employees and\, as a result\, their patients. For more than 25 years\, Paul has focused on improving customer experiences. Before starting his own company\, he spent 10 years with Integrated Loyalty Systems as their senior vice president of content and solutions\, designing culture-change programs and training workshops for healthcare organizations around the country\, including Dignity Health\, Ochsner Clinic\, Penn Medicine\, Carson Tahoe Health\, the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington\, DC. In addition to culture change and patient experience journey mapping\, Paul specializes in employee engagement and onboarding programs for healthcare\, having redesigned more that two dozen healthcare orientation programs with the philosophy: “How you treat staff on day one determines how they’ll treat patients… and each other.” Prior to that\, Paul spent eight years as a Disney Castmember\, specifically as a senior manager first with the famed Disney Institute at Walt Disney World\, teaching the Disney Approach to visiting organizations. Then he moved to Disney Event Productions\, ultimately returning to the Disney Institute to become one of its most highly rated trainers and national keynote speakers\, focusing on applying Disney cultural elements to other industries. Paul spent 13 years before Disney with Kaset International/AchieveGlobal\, at the time one of the world’s largest “soft skills” training and consulting companies. There he learned the intricacies of adult learning\, instructional design and organizational consulting. He was the co-author of the industry standard Everybody Has a Customer\, based on the “internal customer service” concept of: “If you’re not taking care of a customer\, you should be taking care of someone who is.” Paul has been both a preceptor and guest speaker at the USF School of Public Health\, is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE)\, currently serving on the Board of the Western Florida Chapter\, is a longtime member of the ACHE Consultant’s Forum\, and received the prestigious ACHE Regent’s Award in 2021. He also served as the principal advisor to the Chief of Staff on workforce strategies\, programs and activities. \nPrior to his latest military assignment\, Vyron served as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the 6th Force Support Squadron here in Tampa\, where he led more than 600 military and civilian Human Resources professionals. Before that\, Vyron held a multitude of leadership positions\, including Senior Director of Human Resources for the 12th Air Force in Arizona\, overseeing investigations and instruction of LEAN concepts to 11 countries in the Caribbean and Central/South America. While stationed in Germany as the Director of Human Resources\, Vyron worked in the 693rd Intelligence\, Surveillance and Reconnaissance organization. \nVyron’s impressive career is decorated with many honors\, including the Tuskegee Airman award\, the NAACP Award\, the Blacks in Government award and several other notable honors. \nVyron earned a Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership from Walden University\, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Science in Leadership from Capella University. She’s been part of the health system for about 10 years. In her role\, she provides strategic direction for enterprise-wide diversity\, equity\, and inclusion efforts for the $4.9 billion organization supporting 30\,000 team members. Jazleen leads the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to support a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. Prior to this\, Jazleen was a hospital operations leader managing cross-functional teams committed to achieving results. She holds an MPH in Health Care Organizations and Management from the University of South Florida. \nDr. Shanelle Rae\, Director of Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion for Tampa General Hospital \nShanelle Rae\, Ph.D is a Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion Specialist who focuses on creating and implementing sustainable and balanced organizational infrastructure to create equitable outcomes\, Diverse and Inclusive practices and a sense of well-being for all. \nShanelle earned her Ph.D in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Miami and currently serves on the Board of Directors at the UM School of Behavioral Sciences. Shanelle is the Director of DEI at TGH and is an associate Professor at USF. \nDr. Desiree Chachula\, Director of Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion for Moffitt Cancer Center \nDesirée Chachula is the Director of Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) at Moffitt Cancer Center. She leads Moffitt’s DEI portfolio that guides workforce and patient equity efforts. Programs and focus within the portfolio include DEI Education & Training\, Employee Engagement Groups\, Diversity Data and Measures\, Inclusion Climate and Culture\, Employee Life-Cycle for Under-Represented Populations\, Supplier Diversity and External Benchmarking and Cultural and Linguistic Competency. \nDesirée combines years of curriculum and instruction teaching and consulting experience with academic training as a social scientist to bring a scientist-practitioner approach to cultural competence and diversity\, equity and inclusion in healthcare. She is an expert on disproportionality the differences of a population group to an outcome based on shared demographic traits. This work sheds light on policies\, practices\, beliefs and biases that perpetuate the marginalization of vulnerable populations. \nDesiree is a Principal Investigator for the Health Equity Train the Trainer initiative which aims to educate care providers throughout Florida how to effectively enact health equity in their professional practice. \nBeyond practice and research\, Desirée has specialized training working with special populations. She is adept on LEP issues as well as a Board Certified Transgender Care Professional. \nPrior to joining Moffitt in 2016\, Desirée held research appointments at the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education as well as at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Desirée was a Reynold’s Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship at Harvard University where she earned her Masters in Language and Literacy. She is a National Science Foundation Fellow in linguistics and has won numerous academic awards including a U.S. Department of State Critical Language Fellowship and a NSF Research Award. Most recently\, she was the president of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital (PMCH)\, and a statewide pediatric service line leader for Ascension\, St. Vincent in Indiana. During her tenure at PMCH\, Schulhof led the design and implementation of a statewide pediatric dashboard and data analytics hub\, and facilitated the development of a five-year\, statewide pediatric strategic plan that was adopted by the state-level leadership team. \nBefore taking the helm at PMCH\, Schulhof served in positions of increasing responsibility at Indiana University Health\, culminating as president of the North Suburban Area. As area president\, Schulhof had oversight of three hospitals in the region: North\, Saxony and Tipton hospitals. Combined\, the North Suburban Area has more than 2\,000 deliveries and 40\,000 emergency department visits per year. Her past roles at Indiana University Health included serving as system senior vice president for continuous process improvement and as the chief operating officer for Riley Hospital for Children. \nDuring the decade before she joined Indiana University Health\, Schulhof worked for HCA Healthcare. She served as the chief operating officer and ethics and compliance officer for Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon\, Florida; as associate administrator and ethics compliance officer for Northside Hospital and Tampa Bay Heart Institute in St. Petersburg\, Florida; and as an associate administrator for Medical City Dallas Children’s Hospital in Texas. \nAfter earning a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University\, Schulhof received her master’s degree in health care administration from Indiana University. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

According to the National Alliance of Mental Illness approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S.—43.8 million\, or 18.5%—experiences mental illness in a given year. The rate of youth with severe depression increased from 5.9% in 2012 to 8.2% in 2015. Nearly half (45 percent) of those with any mental disorder also meet criteria related to having a physical illness or substance abuse. Physical health and mental health issues occur together. For example\, people with diabetes or cardiac conditions often develop depression as well. Alexander secured venture capital funding at the age of 22 to become the youngest chief executive of a nationally accredited behavioral healthcare organization in the United States. Prior to Coalition\, he founded a corporate marketing company that was the subject of an acquisition when Alexander was 20 years old. His subsequent management consulting company lent him vast experience in corporate finance\, private equity\, along with personal wealth management. ​ He received his degree in Finance from Florida State University and holds a black belt in Lean Six Sigma. \nPanel Members \nDr. George Nasra \nDr. Nasra is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at URMC where he serves as Chief of the Division of Collaborative Care and Wellness\, and Medical Director of Behavioral Health Partners. Dr. Nasra received his Masters of Science in molecular biology and his MD degrees from the American University of Beirut. He completed his psychiatry residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse\, NY. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association\, and a member of the American College of Psychiatrists. Dr Nasra is Board Certified in General Psychiatry\, Forensic Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. After 20 years as a psychiatrist\, Dr. Nasra enrolled in the executive MBA program at the Simon School of Business and graduated with an MBA in 2013. Dr. Nasra’s career interests include collaborative and integrated care as well as increasing access to psychiatric services and reducing stigma for mental health. He is dedicating his time currently to developing new models of care integration between psychiatry and other areas of medicine\, as well as developing and marketing novel employer based psychiatric services. \nDr. Jason M Sabo \nDr. Jason Sabo\, Ph.D. is a pediatric developmental and behavioral specialist. He attended medical school at Ball St. University\, interned with Miami-Dad Human Services and completed his residency at the Ohio Department of Youth Services. He currently works in Pediatric Behavioral Health at Lee Health in Fort Myers\, Florida. Dr. Sabo’s interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder\, ADHD\, behavioral problems\, anxiety disorders\, mood disorders\, and violent and aggressive behaviors. \nGail Ryder\, VP\, BayCare Behavioral Health \nGail joined the BayCare Health system in July of 2011. She is responsible for the continuum of services across the five counties of Tampa Bay for BayCare Behavioral Health. The programs include acute inpatient\, residential\, detox\, rehabilitation\, and outpatient services. \nUnique to this service is the behavioral health integration with primary care\, a novel coaching and navigation initiative for patients with mental illness\, and a broad array of EAP services; targeted to distinct employer types such as schools\, colleges\, and churches. \nThe Behavioral Health division is also responsible for the management of the mental health benefit of the systems self – insured health plan. \nGail was the 2014 National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) board chair. \nShe spent the previous 14 years at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York\, responsible for psychiatry\, neurology\, and neurosurgery. She has devoted 35 years of her career to caring for the mentally ill.
