SUMMARY:Innovation in Healthcare Summit: Using Advanced Technologies for Personalized Care
DESCRIPTION:The Western Florida Chapter of ACHE invites you to our Innovation Summit. \nInnovation in Healthcare Summit: Using Advanced Technologies for Personalized Care\nPrecision medicine and Telehealth hold great promise for improving the delivery of healthcare. Telemedicine has become increasingly popular throughout the years. Its innovative benefits are of vital interest amid the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Telemedicine uses a variety of forms of electronic communication technology to provide a convenient method to deliver healthcare services and education. \nAdvances in precision medicine have already led to powerful new discoveries and several new treatments that are tailored to specific characteristics\, such as a person’s genetic makeup\, or the genetic profile of an individual’s tumor. As the number of effective targeted therapies grows\, more patients are being assessed for genetic variations; indeed\, some experts believe that sequencing a patient’s genome will soon be standard procedure. But there are many challenges being faced including enormous costs of treatment\, regulatory\, infrastructure\, logistical\, and ethical issues.\n \nACHE has awarded 3.0 Face-to-Face Education credits for this event for the panel sessions. \nFor the Lunch Keynote: \nAs an independent chartered chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives\, Western Florida Chapter is authorized to award 1.5 hours of ACHE Qualified Education credit toward advancement or recertification in the American College of Healthcare Executives. \nParticipants in this program who wish to have it considered for ACHE Qualified Education credit should list their attendance when they apply to the American College of Healthcare Executives for advancement or recertification. \nFor more information and to register\, CLICK HERE.

SUMMARY:MACRA and MIPS
DESCRIPTION:The Western Florida Chapter of ACHE invites you to an educational event. \nStrategic and Operational Implications of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act\nMACRA significantly changes how physicians are reimbursed by Medicare and establishes new incentives that will drive payment and delivery reform efforts across the industry. The law will encourage clinicians to develop new care models and collaborations with plans and hospitals. The law is intended to continue the transition to value-based care\, which represents a significantly different set of incentives for healthcare delivery and a different set of capabilities for healthcare providers. This long transition is fraught with new and untested strategies\, investments in information technology\, and new roles within the healthcare delivery team. The challenge for all healthcare providers is how to balance investment into this new system\, while at the same time venturing into new models of reimbursement.\n \nAgenda\nRegistration and Networking Open: 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.\nOptional Tours of Moffitt Facilities: 5:00 p.m – 5:30 p.m.\nDinner: Served at 5:45 p.m.\nKeynote Speaker: 6:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.\nPanel Discussion: 6:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.\nQ&A: 7:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.\nAdjourn: 8:00 p.m. \n1.5 Face-to-Face Credit Hours \nFor more information and to register\, CLICK HERE.
