Hospital leaders and boards set the ethical compass of the organization by making decisions about priorities\, policies and resource allocation as they determine the best ways to meet the needs of their communities\, while respecting their staff and the populations they serve. Understanding the expanding paradigm of planning\, creating\, and maintaining an ethical healthcare organization is crucial to help identify strategies for implementing ethics initiatives within your own organization and how an organization has addressed ethical challenges. Please check your spam/junk folders.** \nPanel Members \nDr. Brent Ibata\, System Director for Accreditation and Quality Assurance\, Lee Health \nBrent Ibata\, PhD is a transformational healthcare executive with over twenty-five years of experience across both inpatient and outpatient within for-profit\, not-for-profit\, academic\, and publicly owned health systems. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a nationally recognized expert in the intersection of law\, policy\, health\, and quality. His current role is the System Director for Accreditation and Quality Assurance at Lee Health. He is an operational leader with a contagious enthusiasm for creative inquiry and strategic innovation bringing together multidisciplinary teams within highly matrixed organizations to brainstorm\, design and execute human-centered process and performance improvement initiatives. \nDr. Zachary Pruitt\, Assistant Professor\, University of South Florida College of Public Health \nZachary Pruitt\, PhD\, MHA\, CPH\, FACHE is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida College of Public Health. Dr. Pruitt teaches undergraduate and graduate courses\, including Understanding U.S. Health Care\, Health Services Management\, Quality Management\, Strategic Planning\, and Healthcare Marketing\, and the Advanced Seminar in Health Care Management. He also teaches Health Systems curricula at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. \nDr. Pruitt currently serves as the President of the Western Florida Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives\, and he is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and of the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education. \nDr. Pruitt recently co-authored the textbook\, Healthcare Quality Management: A Case Study Approach with co-authors Dr. Candace Smith and Eddie Perez-Ruberte. His research interests include the integration of medical and social care for vulnerable populations by addressing social determinants of health. Prior to academics\, Dr. Pruitt directed Medicaid operations and regulatory affairs for a small Florida health plan\, and managed policy and compliance projects for a large publicly-traded managed care organization. \nJeff Younger\, Executive of healthcare organizations in Radiology and later Dermatology \nJeff Younger has been involved in healthcare for over 40 years. He worked as a hospital executive in three facilities during the 80’s and 90’s in Illinois. Prior to moving to Tampa\, Florida\, Jeff was the Vice President and COO of a 300 bed hospital in suburban Chicago for over 14 years. \nFrom 1995 to 2013 he served as the CEO of several organizations\, including a large radiology group in Tampa\, a 60 plus physician MSO group\, Physicians Practice Management of Tampa Bay\, Inc. and created a teleradiology network. In 2013\, he started Preferred Radiology Alliance with the Daytona Beach Radiology group. Serving as its first CEO\, Jeff has helped grow that organization to over 120 radiologists. \nIn addition to his hospital and radiology experience\, Jeff has served as COO of Academic Alliance in Dermatology\, the third largest dermatology practice in Florida with over 24 locations. \nHe is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and past Western Florida Chapter Board Member\, Fellow in the Radiology Business Management Association\, Past President of the FRBMA\, Advisory Board Member for the University of South Florida-College of Public Health and frequent lecturer. He has a Bachelor of Business Degree from Millikin University and a Master’s Degree in Hospital and Health Administration from Xavier University. \nJeff is married to the same person for almost 40 years\, has three grown children and five grandchildren.
